Back to Karkand Released 13/12/2011

Yesterday, we announced the 1 week early release date for Back to Karkand on PlayStation 3. Today, we are happy to announce that the December 6th PlayStation 3 release will be followed by Xbox 360 and PC on December 13th!

If you pre-ordered Battlefield 3: Limited Edition, you will receive this expansion pack at no extra charge. Anyone else can buy it through the in-game store (on consoles), PlayStation Store (PS3), Xbox Live Marketplace (Xbox 360), or on Origin (PC).

Back to Karkand Coming December + 6 New Screenshots

EA sent out 6 new Battlefield 3: Back to Karkand screenshots today showing the classic map, Strike at Karkand. Also announced is Back to Karkand will be coming out in December!

It’s time to go Back to Karkand this December with the first expansion pack to DICE’s award winning Battlefield 3.

Utilizing the power of Frostbite 2, the Back to Karkand Expansion Pack, remasters four of the greatest Battlefield maps in the franchise; Strike at Karkand, Wake Island, Gulf of Oman and Sharqi Peninsula with enhanced levels of destruction. In addition, this expansion pack includes five new dog tags, five new achievements/trophies, three new vehicles (DPV, BTR-90, F-35B STOVL jet fighter), 10 iconic Battlefield weapons and a new persistence system where players complete assignments to earn their rewards. Battlelog platoon info and server details

The platoon is here.

Server is up and running and the details can be found in the sidebar. There were some issues with Punkbuster kicking people shortly after joining which seems fixable by updating your PB, here are the instructions.

1) First off you will need to download the latest punkbuster file here:
http://www.evenbalance.com/index.php?page=dl-bf3.php
2) Look under PunkBuster (Battlefield 3) Player Client Files and download the Filename: “wc002279.htm”
3) Save it to C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 3\pb\htm
4) Overwrite the existing file even if it's the same size.

Maplist, server messages etc are not yet setup this is merely a test. You can see the custom options enabled such as FF On at the battlelog link in the sidebar above banner.

Welcome to Clan Phoenix 2.0!

Welcome one and all to the new [PhX] website and forums!

In celebration of DICE's brand new launch trailer for Battlefield 3 I thought it was about time we got into gear and finalised the couple of weeks work on Phoenix's new website and forum.

Firstly thanks to christopf for his help in creating forums and general setup along with Jokercard2 for some constructive feedback on the layout. Secondly thanks for the brilliant support in the donation front our monthly goal is £47.50, which pays for the 64 man BF3 server and a backup 20 slot ventrilo. This month we had £70 in the pot which is great to see and will hopefully continue for the coming months!
